About us
Our Own Standards is on the verge of becoming a non-profit organization.
Currently we are offering two kinds of membership:
- Basic:
This is for small companies. Basic members can't make any suggestions and are not allowed to take part in the decision-making process of OOS.
We will inform you of all important changes which occur though.
Basic membership costs US$2.500 per year.
- Full:
As a full member you are allowed to make suggestions and take part in the creative
process here at OOS. You may even become our friends.
Full membership currently costs US$25.000 per year
(note: this is a special offer for the first 200 applicants - so be sure to apply soon).
You may have noticed that we only take half of the fees that other big
Standardization Organisations take.
Send applications to OOS.
Special Update!
- Oppressed Engineer Support Plan
Well, we know why we put up this site. And, if you're an engineer, developer or programmer (call it what you will), having to deal with requests to support "this nice new feature" and "that nice new standard", you may know, too.
So, if you got the point, you're qualified to apply for our Oppressed Engineer Support Plan. No payment, no rip-off - we know how you feel. All you need to do to qualify is to send us a funny anecdote about why you dislike all those new standards. Maybe we'll even publish them here someday, huh?
